The Botswana Young Farmers Association, supported by CCARDESA and it's ACCRA Programme is hosting The Youth Agribusiness Week initiative which is aimed at creating a platform for a stakeholder engagement on the pathways to excellence in Agriculture in Gaborone, Botswana.
This inaugural Agribusiness Week is to be held under the theme ‘Attracting investment in Agriculture.’ The Youth Agribusiness Week activities will include:

i. Agribusiness Conference and Awards: 23 November 2018
ii. Exhibition & Expo: 23 & 24 November 2018
iii. Young Farmers Half Marathon Relay: 24 November 2018

It is expected that the Conference and Awards will be attended by 300 participants with the Relay Half Marathon attracting up to 500 participants. The development and growth of the sector requires commitment of all the sectors of the economy. This can be attained through
engagement and creating sustainable partnerships of all the sectors of the economy to ensure the agric sector becomes investor friendly. It is of this realization that, through the Agribusiness Week that we cultivate dialogue on the discourse and future of the Agriculture Sector in
Botswana. This can enable the society to understand and appreciate the importance of a viable climate smart and sustainable food production sector.
